For the past 38 years, the world is celebrating the International Maritime Day. The decision was made during the 10th Assembly of International Maritime Association (IMO) and is one of the worldwide days of the UN. Up until 1980, it was celebrated in March, nowadays it is held on the last Thursday of September.
This day is dedicated to the seas, oceans, shipping, fishing and all related ecological issues. It was established to bring awareness of the public, companies, and governments to the cause.
We’d like to join in celebrating this important day and every year try to add our bit to the sea protection and preservation.
